What do I do before my first visit?

Three small things on your end, and the rest is on ours. Your benefits get checked before you arrive, so the front desk is a hello and a seat, and your exam starts on time.

  1. 1Book online or call us, and say if there is a doctor or an office you would like.
  2. 2Fill in the new patient forms on your phone. Ten minutes at the kitchen table beats ten minutes in the waiting room.
  3. 3Bring your insurance card, your current glasses or contact lens boxes, and a list of your medicines.

  • Aker Eye Downtown

    338 S Washington Ave, Titusville. Two-story building; exams are on the second floor, with an elevator.

    Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm. We open at 10am on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

  • Aker Eye Playalinda

    1114 S Washington Ave, Titusville. Single-story building, everything on one floor.

    Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm. We open at 10am on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

Whichever is closer, unless you need a particular doctor. Dr. Greg Aker and Dr. Amanda Aker are at Downtown, 338 S Washington Ave, second floor with an elevator. Dr. Koehnemann and Dr. Bradley are at Playalinda, 1114 S Washington Ave, all on one floor. Dry eye treatment is at Downtown and the Low Vision Clinic is at Playalinda. Call us and we will book whichever suits you.

What do I do before my first visit?

Book a time, fill in the new patient forms on your phone, and bring your insurance card, your current glasses or contact lens boxes, and a list of your medicines. We check your benefits before you arrive, so you know what your plan covers. If you skip the forms, we help you at the front desk; allow a few extra minutes.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with most of the vision plans and medical insurance plans our patients carry. Plans change, so call (321) 269-2021 with the name on your card and we will confirm yours before you book. A routine exam usually goes on a vision plan; dry eye, glaucoma, and diabetes visits go on medical insurance, and we bill the right one for you.

How do I reach a person?

Call (321) 269-2021 during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and one of us at the front desk will pick up for either office. For a red, painful eye, sudden vision loss, or new flashes and floaters, call us first and we will work you in.
